World Cup 2010 Schedule

ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL!?  The 2010 FIFA World Cup starts this Friday, June 11, and runs through Sunday, July 11.  There are a lot of games, on a lot of days, at a lot of different times.  It can be hard to keep track of who’s playing who, and when they’re doing it.  Fear not, for there is hope!

Last week I stumbled across a wonderfully designed interactive schedule for the 2010 World Cup.  This fantastic radial display gives you multiple filtering options.  You can display everything on a certain day, all matches that take place within a certain city, all matches within a certain group or stage of the competition, or all matches by country simply by rolling over your desired selection.  The only downside is that all time is in South Africa local time.  This is easily remedied by simply subtracting the number of hours difference between their time zone (GMT +2) and your own time zone (PST: GMT -8, MST: GMT -7, CST: GMT -6, EST: GMT -5).  This means, for example, the Portugal v. Brazil match scheduled for June 25, 2010 at 16:00 South Africa local time will be June 25, 2010 at 6:00 Pacific Standard Time.

Go England, and go Portugal!
