Today Konami announced that the next hotly anticipated installment to the Castlevania franchise, Lords of Shadow, will be released for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on October 5th.
For those of you who aren’t keeping tabs on this game, just know this: it’s going to be awesome. Playing as a descendant of the now infamous Belmont clan, Gabirel, who is voiced by Robert Carlyle, you must seek out the Lords of Shadow and unite the pieces of “The God Mask”. The mask is needed to purify the world, and it can also bring the dead back to life.
Boasting an impressive 50 stages of gameplay in highly detailed 3D realms, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow is sure to deliver plenty of eye-candy and some kick ass battle mechanics. You’ll face off against over 45 different enemies, have over 40 combo attacks in your arsenal, and there will be plenty of puzzles to keep your brains buzzing into the wee hours of the night. This is definitely a title you want to go out and reserve, and we will keep you posted if any pre-order bonuses are offered.
