Rock Band 3 Setlist Leaked

Rock Band 3 Setlist Leaked

Someone at Harmonix is gonna get fired.  HIRE ME! HIRE ME!As I’m sure you’ve figured out by now, Gamescom is going on over in Cologne, Germany.  It’s a pretty big deal for the Europeans.  Kinda like their version of the Electronic Entertainment Expo.  As such, it could be easy to overlook certain security details.  Like, oh I don’t know, NOT LEAKING EVERY SONG IN ROCK BAND 3 TO THE PUBLIC!

According to, the Harmonix employee charged with the sacred task of showing off Rock Band 3 to the hundreds of attendees was scrolling through the list of songs in the game during the demo. Someone very fast and very smart grabbed his or her HD video camera and started rolling. The footage made it up onto YouTube, and was very quickly removed. But not quickly enough.

Numerous Rock Band fans scoured the list and were able to decipher what they’re pretty sure is every damn song in the game.

Personally, one of my favorite parts of Rock Band was the surprise of finding out what song I was going to play when I got to my next gig. So I really didn’t want to look through the list. Fortunately, 1Up reports that this could just be a list for the demo, and the songs could change by the time the game gets to retail. Also, it was taken from a YouTube video, and not necessarily by professional videographers, so it’s entirely possible that some mistakes were made. But, if you’re NOT like me, and you don’t feel the need to be surprised as you play through the game, here’s what they think they found:

  • Ooooh…hahaha, not good for whoever the employee is! Good news? That Spacehog song is amazing!

Oh yeah, “In The Meantime” is a great song. With that wicked bassline. Only problem is, I’m pretty sure I already played it as DLC for RB2…

    • Yeah I’ve noticed a lot of repeat songs, like how Filter’s “Hey Man, Nice Shot” was in Guitar Hero: World Tour :/

      • I remember throwing my voice out on that after you threw your voice out on Jane’s Addiction – Mountain Song. Good times.

        • Haha, your voice got wrecked! I did the mistake of doing Misery Business and Mountain Song back to back.. and wow… never again.

Hi. My name is party fowl.

No Pink Floyd and no Zeppelin still. =(

No New Born from Muse? Major disappointment.

It’s wayyy too obvious they’re saving All Along The Watchtower for Hendrix DLC.

    Okay. Bye party fowl.

    Radar fucking Love!

Jimmy Page has publicly said that we would never see any Led Zeppelin music in a music game. Presumably for the same reason that Prince gave, which is that it’s better for people to learn how to actually play an instrument.

I believe I had heard somewhere that Nick Mason expressed interest in a Pink Floyd Rock Band. But that could just be wishful thinking on my part.

No fucking TooL? What I wouldn’t give to play Ænima from beginning to end. The 3 songs on Guitar Hero: World Tour weren’t good enough.

And finally, I’ve been crying for Failure since the original Rock Band. Failure is the definition of the term Rock Band. I’m pretty sure that if you go to and search “Rock Band” you’ll get this:

      Rock Band (rahk BAND)

      1. Failure

      2. THERE IS NO 2!

      • Yeah I remember Page saying something to that degree. Still sucks though. What I wouldn’t give to just kick ass on Immigrant Song. o.O

Also, I noticed the lack of Toolage, however….that might be because Maynard was at the Activision event for E3. They’ve been on Guitar Hero, so instead of playing for both teams, they might just prefer the chaps at Acti than Harmonix. I don’t know for sure, and that is all based on pure speculation.

The other reasoning for it is that he doesn’t want to lose the original master recordings, since that’s what happened with the very first Who back.
