Its Mega Man’s Universe. We Just Play Here.

Don’t believe me? Check out the new game play from the Blue Bomber’s newest incarnation, Mega Man Universe. What’s old is new again as you get side scrolling, Mega Bustering, platform jumping action with good ol’ Mega Man and…Ryu?

Now Keiji Inafune, regarded as the father of Mega Man, says that this trailer will clear things up after the rather confusing teaser trailer for Mega Man Universe. Well, no, it doesn’t. We knew it would be a side scroller. We knew that other Capcom characters would be in there. Clearing things up would be telling us why other Capcom characters are in there. Why is this confusing and awesome thing happening?

You know what? It doesn’t matter. This is Mega Man. This is the game series that got me into gaming. Before school I used to draw new robot masters. It made me wish my dog was a robot. So you see, it doesn’t matter what is going on. I’d follow you into Hell itself Mega Man. After all, I played Mega Man X7.

i lost interest after X4(best X series title made)

then the Zero series on GBA turned me back into a fan

  • This game is going to kick some serious ass. I can’t wait for it. It makes me want to bust out my copy of Mega Man 4 on the NES and just jam on that for hours.

I’m really loving the Mega Man 2 vibe the trailer put out. I think I’m gonna play through Mega Man Anniversary Collection again. And again. And again and again.

      • Yeah. The Classic vibe is what sold me on this. I haven’t played a Mega Man game in probably a decade, and that is mostly due to the fact that they just abused the franchise for awhile and almost destroyed the MM legacy. It seems as if they’ve gone back in the right direction, which is great because who doesn’t love classic Mega Man? I know I sure as hell do!

Did you notice how the character design for him looked a little different, especially when jumping? That has me slightly concerned.
