Assassin’s Creed: The Fall

Assassin’s Creed: The Fall

As a fan of Assassin’s Creed, I can’t believe that I had no idea that a comic was coming out. I guess it’s partially due to the fact that I’m waiting impatiently for AC: Brotherhood to come out on November 16th. However, 6 days before that on the 10th, fans of the games can sink their teeth into the first of a new three issue series that takes place in in Russia.

No, Altair and Ezio aren’t going and taking a trip for some borscht (although I wouldn’t mind reading something about that). Instead, we are getting a brand new story that focuses on a 19th century assassin named Nikolai Orleov. Like in the games, he will have a present day ancestor, and it will take place in a time where there is much turmoil and civil unrest. Nikolai will be after an ancient artifact that’s behind held by the Templars, and he will even face off against some well-known historical figures like Tsar Alexander III.

One major reason to look forward to this, besides the fact that it’s going to be awesome, are the people who are working on the comic: Karl Kerschl, Cameron Stewart, and Nadine Thomas. With Ubi Workshop producing it, and DC Comics publishing, Assassin’s Creed: The Fall has a lot of promise.

If that doesn’t get you excited enough, check out the cover art for the first issue, and this great Dev Diary that goes more into the story, along with how they came up with the inspiration for it all:
