Holiday Gift Guide: Mature Video Games

It’s the holiday season again, and some people are struggling to find the perfect gifts. Well, if you have a gamer on your list, maybe I can help you out! Check out this great holiday list!

I think the first person shooter that is at the top of everyone’s list is Call of Duty: Black Ops. Available for PS3, PC, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii and DS, this Treyarch release will have players battle it out in a fantastic campaign, defeat hordes of zombies, or enjoy a online multiplayer experience. For full details, you can check out the multiplayer review of the game we did not too long ago.

If the gamer on your list is more into sci-fi shooters, you can pick up a copy of Halo: Reach, available exclusively for Xbox 360. Following the Halo franchise, Halo Reach features a full campaign telling the story of Noble Team in addition to an epic multiplayer campaign.

Another highly anticipated game is Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, currently available for players on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, with an expected release date of 2011 for the PC version. As per previous Assassin’s Creed titles, there is an action-packed single-player campaign, in addition to a never-before-seen multiplayer option.

Of course, this list would not be complete without, what I feel confident in calling, is the most wanted game for PS3 – Gran Turismo 5. In this off the charts racing game, players can take their chances on some of the most famous racetracks, in some of the fastest cars!

For the PC gamers on your list, Blizzard has got the World of Warcraft Cataclysm release – sure to please any WoW fan on December 7. World of Warcraft’s Cataclysm features a new look to the same locations, now torn apart by devastation. A must-have for any World of Warcraft fan.

Well, those are the highly anticipated games of this holiday season! I hope, at the very least, this carefully created holiday list helps at least one avid gamer get the hottest game of the year!

On the outside, you might think Sam is rough and tough with her always-changing hair color and tattoos, but those closest to her will tell you she's actually a book worm, plant mom, avid backcountry hiker, and lover of all things Star Wars and video games!
