In a complete no brainer decision, AMC has renewed The Walking Dead for a second season.
NO BRAINER! GET IT? I MADE A FUNNY! ZOMBIES! BRAINS! HAHAHAHA!
Okay, serious time again. It really must have been an easy decision for AMC to renew The Walking Dead for another season. This is because AMC recently released the news that their hit zombie show has reached more adults in the 18-49 demographic than any other show in the history of cable television. The announcement also came with some quotes.
“The ‘Dead’ has spread!” said Charlie Collier, President of AMC. “No other cable series has ever attracted as many adults 18-49 as The Walking Dead. This reaffirms viewers’ hunger for premium television on basic cable. We are so proud to be bringing back The Dead again, across the globe.”
Yeah, I bet he’s proud. Biggest cable show ever? I’d be crowing a bit about it myself. What else do these guys have to say?
“I wish all programming decisions were no brainers like this one,” said Sharon Tal Yguado, SVP for Scripted Programming for Fox International Channels. “The Walking Dead is a TV masterpiece on so many levels. We want at least 10 seasons, if not more. Kudos to AMC!”
1) Way to steal my joke there Sharon.
2) 10 seasons? Why limit yourself? After all, zombies are very hard to kill. They just keep going on and on and on. Keep up the quality and I’d watch 20 seasons.
