Well hey there Barnaby, did ya hear about the new Pokémon games? I hear they’re onto the 5th generation or somethin’. What? Ya don’t have a DS to play it on? Well they’re offerin’ two mighty fine bundles that include a DSi. Thats right Barnaby, one of them fancy new fangled Nintendo devices that’s got a picture taker and everything!
With the release of Pokémon Black Version & Pokémon White Version on March 6th, Nintendo is giving customers the opportunity to buy limited edition etched DSi bundles containing the new games and carrying cases. Both systems will feature the new Legendary Pokémon of the 5th generation, Reshiram and Zekrom. Depending on which bundle you choose to get changes which game and color DSi you will receive. I don’t think I need to specify the DSi colors and associated game. If I do, I worry about the Pokémon-playing public.
You can play the new games on any DS system, but using a DSi with the new Pokémon games will unlock a new feature called Xtransciever, allowing players to engage in video chat with others after exchanging Friend Codes.
Bundles are to be sold for $179.99 at major retailers, but if you just want the game itself, you can expect to pay $34.99. Be sure to pre-order, as this is expected to be a pretty big release.
Expect a review of this game the week of the 6th, as I will be sure to pick up my copy of Pokémon White Version. Excited face!
