I actually looked up the definition of reverie before writing this. It means to enter a state of being pleasantly lost in one’s thoughts. Well…that doesn’t really seem to fit the horrific monsters and vampiric demons found in the Castlevania series, but whatever. We have some new screenshots to look at for the first DLC for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, entitled Reverie.
In Reverie we find Gabriel Belmont, fresh off his victory over Satan and all his demon buddies, going back to the castle of the vampire lord Carmilla. It turns out that a nasty side effect of killing the vampire queen was the release of an even more powerful evil that she had been containing. Now Gabriel must work with Carmilla’s creepy vampire daughter Laura to smack that evil right in the face. Yeah, right in the face.
Reverie will be released sometime this month for the Playstation Network and Xbox Arcade for $9.99. Also be sure to keep your eyes peeled for Resurrection, the second planed DLC for Lords of Shadow, to be released sometime later this year.
