Halo Anniversary Gets Terminals

Halo Anniversary Gets Terminals

November 15th can’t come fast enough for us Halo fans. Almost like Master Chief himself was having a homecoming celebration from being lost in space, the original badass comes to the Xbox 360. It’s a tall order to fill, but the new Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary looks absolutely stunning. It’s amazing what a new coat of paint can do for a game, while releasing an HD remake is certainly not ground breaking in any way, it is extremely nice fan service. Pay attention kids, this is your father’s Halo… Just prettier.

While making sure gameplay stayed untouched and true to the 2001 original, 343 Industries (Microsoft’s in-house Halo team) wanted to add something that didn’t change the game in any way. They wanted to tell a story within a story, so terminals are making their Combat Evolved debut. They will work in a similar fashion to that of the Audio Logs in Halo 3: ODST, and will be narrated by 343 Guilty Spark.  He will explain the origins of Installation 04 (Alpha Halo), the Flood and the Forerunners, that appear to be set to a wide arrangement of cinematics done in different art styles.
