Orcs Must Die! Gets A Sequel

Orcs Must Die! Gets A Sequel

Last year, Orcs Must Die! gave the world a proper introduction to development studio Robot Entertainment on XBLA and PC. Following up the incredibly entertaining and high quality experience of Orcs Must Die! is difficult, but Robot has decided to do just that, less than one year later, with the release of Orcs Must Die! 2, tentatively scheduled for a summer 2012 release. Unlike its predecessor, however, Orcs Must Die! 2 is being developed as a PC exclusive, with no current plans for console release. While this makes me incredibly sad, as I have no game-worthy PC at the moment, it’s understandable given that the majority of their fanbase is on PC, and the disparity of development costs between XBLA and PC. As we all know from Game Dev Story, PC development is cheaper and easier!

I’m sure the exhausting nature of its predecessor will return in Orcs Must Die! 2, alongside a new campaign, new enemies, new traps, and a new character for co-op. Take a look at both the new character, the Sorceress, and some orcs getting sliced and diced below.

I'm the Ambassador of Kickyourassador. I am the Walrus. I'm on a highway to the Danger Zone. I am the Kwisatz Haderach. I do things with words that have a generally geeky gist.
