Giveaway: The Amazing Spider-Man (PS3)

WINNER ANNOUNCED: Congratulations to ilRadd for winning a PS3 copy of The Amazing Spider-Man! Thanks for participating, and good luck in the future.

There are few experiences in gaming as exhilarating and joy inducing as swinging your way through New York as Spider-Man. Spider-Man 2 did it best, but The Amazing Spider-Man did it prettier. There is no Spider-Man game that gives you a better visual representation of Spider-Man’s agility and acrobatics than The Amazing Spider-Man, and now you have a chance to get your hands on a copy of it for the PlayStation 3! Ignoring the fact that Spider-Man seems able to anchor the end of his web to pure AIR in order to swing sometimes, the game itself is absolutely addictive. The contest starts now and runs through 12:01am EST Wednesday, July 25th. This is 9:01pm PST Tuesday, July 24th, so make sure you latecomers enter on time!

We’re trying something new with this giveaway. While leaving your entry comment, feel free to leave us some feedback on how the Rafflecopter giveaway tool feels and operates from your perspective!

Keep in mind that we will be auditing entries against actual blog comments, so if you click “I Commented!” make sure that you comment!

About chris

Chris originally intended for Marooners' Rock (then called World of Meh!) to be nothing more than a personal online outlet for creative writing. As the featured writing became more and more video game related (and companies started sending free games), and as the number of authors increased, Chris took on the role of Editor-in-Chief to ensure that Marooners' Rock would never have an article about how awesome the N-Gage was, because it wasn't.

I like The Lizard because of who he is and how he became a villain. The teasing in the last set of Spider-Man movies really annoyed me. :)

Great! Thanks for the feedback. If we continue seeing support for Rafflecopter, we’ll use it more often.

    Who: Venom
Why: good story, villian with comparable powers, and a little deranged.

    • http://twitter.com/DontJudgeMyADD A Parker

Also, per rafflecopter. It does its job. I’m not a fan of the 40 different entry methods nor the daily tweet, but I understand their purpose. It generally works well for me and it feels like there’s some trust in the randomly selected winner since it’s presumably 3rd party selected.

      • Anonymous

Thanks for the feedback, and while I understand what you mean about the multiple methods, I’m glad you understand why they’re used. The winner is chosen through a plugin using random.org on the Rafflecopter side. For our other contests, unless specifically stated otherwise, we used random.org after assigning numbers to each entry.

        • http://twitter.com/DontJudgeMyADD A Parker

Exactly. Your 4 entry methods is great. Plus it’s the outlets that matter most. I’ll gladly read your twitter updates and facebook posts.
The rafflecopter ones I’ve seen with, tweet, follow the site, follow all our editors, like on FB, share on FB, blog about, google+, do tumblr, digg it, etc… makes me pause and go “oh n/m.”

Love to provide feedback, and I don’t even begrudge the sites that have lots of additional entry methods. I personally, just sometimes don’t bother with them. It is free stuff after all, I just think its cool you’re trying to give to your community.

          • Anonymous

That is quite excessive. Thanks again for the detailed feedback, and thanks for participating and reading! Without a community to write for, the site wouldn’t be what it is.
