So Abraham Lincoln and Tom Sawyer walk into a video game…

That may sound like a silly joke, but it is actually the premise of Code Name: S.T.E.A.M., a turn-based strategy RPG from Intelligent Systems, a game developer best known for their work on the Fire Emblem series. The core gameplay mechanics don’t sound too dissimilar from other games in this genre but the quirky comic book art style and steampunk setting are really going to make it stand out from its peers, and it seems like a game that will have a good sense of humor.

Since Abraham Lincoln is one of my favorite historical figures, you can bet this is a game I’ll be keeping my eyes on in the coming days. Check out the trailer below!

As a youngin’, Aron cut his gaming teeth on the NES. Countless hours spent in Hyrule and the Mushroom Kingdom helped him cultivate the skills that are the basis of what he is today: the Chicago metropolitan area's most ruthless Pokémon master. Some would think a bearded man in his 30s would be ashamed to be seen in public wearing a Pikachu hat, but for Aron it is a badge of honor. When he’s not collecting gym badges, Aron likes games such as those from the Final Fantasy, Super Mario Bros., Legend of Zelda, and Ace Attorney series.
