For the first time in 25 years, it’s actually happening. The Nintendo World Championships are returning.
At select, but currently unannounced Best Buy locations around the United States, players will have a chance to earn a spot to play in the tournament finals in Los Angeles to start off E3 week. Each regional winner will meet up on June 14 at the NOKIA Theatre L.A. LIVE for a multi-round Nintendo game competition. In the end one player will be crowned the 2015 Nintendo World Champion. Locations and more details will be announced in the coming weeks and I’m sure everyone is ready to feel like “The Wizard”
Also for two days during E3, for everyone who can not make it in person to E3, you will have a chance to try out the upcoming Mario Maker (http://www.nintendo.com/games/detail/i7YeZxnWhEFX6ST-sLdUBGmLoZivzNP5) game for Wii U and pick up a 30th anniversary Super Mario Bros. pin while supplies last. The events will take place 4-9 p.m. local time on Wednesday, June 17, and noon-5 p.m.
