It would appear to be a big Mighty No. Nope. Eyebrows were raised after the release date was changed from September 15th, 2015 to TBA 2016 quietly earlier this week on multiple retail sites. To reaffirm this, Game Informer announced Thursday, “Game Informer has received additional information about the quiet delay of Mighty No. 9, with further substantiation that it will miss its September 15 release. The game does not have a new release date, but the most recent information reaffirms that retailer listings of 2016 are accurate.”
So yeah. There’s that.
Mighty No. 9 was originally promised in April 2015 for (deep breath) PS3, PS4, PSVita, Xbox 360, Xbox One, WiiU, Nintendo 3DS, and Steam during its successful Kickstarter campaign. However, it was then pushed back to September 15th, only now to be pushed back to “who knows.” Sources have reached out to both publisher and company (Deep Silver and Comcept, respectively), only to receive no statement from Comcept, and a decline to comment from Deep Silver. While delays are nothing new, especially in this day and age, this is quite a bit trickier for the sheer fact that now Comcept has not updating (at this time) the backers of its game on whether or not it has been delayed or if the September 15th date is still on track.
Just keep in mind, this is purely strongly supported speculation with no official confirmation. We will keep you all updated as the details come in!
