Turn That Dial To 11, It’s New Rock Band 4 Information Time!

Harmonix’s upcoming title Rock Band 4 is set to release on October 6th, 2015, and they are more than ready to flaunt new information for us plastic addicts out here. First up, standalone game pre-orders have been announced at select retailers.

The PlayStation4 version will be $59.99 and will support most legacy Rock Band and third-party wireless guitars and drums. However, for the Xbox One, the game will be $79.99. This is because it includes the game and Legacy Game Controller Adapter. This will allow Xbox One users to use legacy and third-party guitars and drums. Now, it is time for the juicier part of information. Today, as part of #MusicMonday, Harmonix announced 10 new songs for the upcoming title. These include:

  • .38 Special – “Caught Up In You”
  • Arctic Monkeys – “Arabella”
  • The Both – “Milwaukee”
  • Cake – “Short Skirt/Long Jacket”
  • Little Big Town – “Little White Church”
  • Lucius – “Turn It Around”
  • The Mighty Mighty Bosstones – “The Impression That I Get”
  • The Protomen – “Light Up The Night”
  • Soundgarden – “Superunknown”
  • Tijuana Sweetheart – “Pistol Whipped”

These new songs will be joining the strong setlist to date, which includes last week’s announcement of the inclusion of Panama by Van Halen. Many fans were excited due to the exclusion of Van Halen in Rock Band due to contracts with Activision, previously causing Van Halen to be exclusive to Guitar Hero, has ended since DLC was stopped being supported by Harmonix.

The full game will feature over 60 tracks, access to more than 1,500 DLC songs, and will allow you to play purchase tracks within the same console family for no additional cost. Does this tickle your fancy? Better question: is there anyone else out there as excited for this game as I am?
