Gearbox has finally decided to shut down their Borderlands 2 companion app – LootTheWorld, a mobile app that allows you to scan QR codes for loot in the main Borderlands 2 game. The app will only stay live until 9:30AM CST October 22nd, so if you’re interested in giving it a spin make sure you grab it before it’s gone!
Personally, many of us here at Marooners’ Rock forgot about the app in the first place. Plus, many of the items you find in-game tend to be better than the items the QR code grants. Guess it took time for Gearbox to realize the application was a good idea at first, but in the end didn’t provide what those who played Borderlands 2 with what they hoped for.
