With big releases there is always times someone at some place and time obtained the game early via stores breaking street date or by other means. It seems one user on Reddit has shared screens that his or her local store has got copies of Halo 5: Guardians in. While I’m taking the pictures below with a grain of salt I’m thinking it’s the real deal since the game is close to release and that the game was announced that it has gone gold. That just means copies are being created and will be in stores soon.
As you can see in the pictures below it looks legit and some users are thinking it’s from Target, which I’d have to agree since the sticker in one of the pictures looks like it’s from Target. My advice is someone starts leaking footage is to avoid it at all cost since we don’t want spoilers and if you think you’ll be smart and record, stream and etc. Enjoy the DMCA takedowns since you don’t have the okay to do so. It’s not the first time I’ve seen some users obtain a game early and think it would be cool to stream or upload footage and moments later the accounts shut down.
For the time being I’ll just tease you with the pictures below and I have reached out to the Microsoft PR team to confirm if these are infact real copies or fake and will update this post. My overall guess is some employee thought it would be cool to take pictures of the new game that came in to taunt us all.
