DICE development director Dan Vaderlind tweeted this past weekend that he has been sent over to work on “the next Battlefield.” Now, this does not confirm the article we had last week that called for Battlefield 5: Armageddon, but it does confirm a new Battlefield. But come on, new Battlefield confirmation + that IMDB page? That screams confirmation to me. I know a lot of people were disappointed with this year’s Battlefield Hardline, with its take on Cops ‘n Crooks, but those people will be pleased that this take will be a return to form, military tactical shooting.
Now that we’ve shipped Battlefront and a part of the team continues to work on it, I am moving on to another project, the next Battlefield..

Now, I enjoyed Battlefield 3 and 4, but Hardline felt off to me. I played it for a little bit, but just couldn’t enjoy it. I am excited for more information on 5 just because of the possibilities. Hopefully we will find more out in the next month or two!
