**HEAVY BREATHING**
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve heard about Rooster Teeth. Whether it has been about their internet series Red vs Blue, their “anime” RWBY, their Achievement Hunter section, or their current jaunt into cinema. Lazer Team has created quite a stir, starting with its almost 2.5 million dollar Indiegogo campaign back in the Summer of 2014. Since then, we’ve had a trailer, behind the scenes, and even merchandise. But what about the movie? Well, it has been recently announced that it will be coming to theatres on January 27th, 2016.
With this film, not only will it be in theatres, but starting the same day, you can also stream the film on YouTube Red. This allows as many people as possible to see the film. The way the theatre shows will work is a little…different. If you want tickets, go to LazerTeamTheMovie.com and click Tickets & Showtimes. From there, find your nearest city and select the theatre you want to go to. From there, you will see how many tickets your theatre has left, but also how many tickets must be sold to “fund” the viewing, essentially. If the amount isn’t sold, the movie won’t play, but from what I have seen around twitter, that should be no problem at all. Loking at the map, it looks like almost every city is sold out even. This is why they are promoting the film on YouTube Red. There is also an option to host your own film event.
Lazer Team is the story of 4 town idiots who accidentally recover a suit of armor meant for the “Champion of Earth.” Each put on their own segment (boots, left arm, right arm, and helmet) and must train as a team to save Earth.
