No, It is not uncancelled. However, that does not mean it is “dead.” Redditor “ProtoFaggot,” who claims the name was from 4chan so they knew who it was when he posted it, discovered a prototype of Star Wars Battlefront III. Which he posted it here. Yes it is rough. But yes, it is playable. You will need a dev or test Xbox 360 in order to make the game work, but still. It is still lingering about.
The game was cancelled back in 2008, then came the long and winding road which leads to EA having the rights and releasing the “controversial” Battlefront this past November. Of course, I say controversial due to a lot of mixed criticism. Overall the game has a 75% for the Xbox One, but word of mouth spreads. Fans loved it. Gamers were meh. I never personally played it, but have heard how different it is from the original series.
