I hope you Xbox fanboys are ready to do some car soccer, because Psyonix’s Rocket League propelled onto the One this past week. Before this week, I’ve never played it. However, I have put multiple hours into this game and ohmygoditissomuchfun. If you purchase the base game, you will also get the previous DLCs (Supersonic Fury, Revenge of the Battle-Cars, and Chaos Run) at no additional charge. The Xbox One download also includes multiple exclusives and updates including:

– exclusive Gears of War “Armadillo,” the famed Armored Personnel Carrier

Wheels
– Armadillo and COG (Gears of War)
– Puma (Halo_

Antennas
– COG symbol and tag, Locust (Gears of War)
– Guilty Spark, Insurrection Rebels, New Mombasa Cavaliers, and Swords of Sanghelios (Halo)
– Fizzie (Sunset Overdrive)

Rocket Trails
– Imulsion (Gears of War)
– OverCharge (Sunset Overdrive)

 Updates
  • Multiplayer: 4-player split-screen, 8-player online, ranked and unranked play, special mutator-themed playlist(s), private match support (with named rooms and optional passwords)
  • Game Modes: Exhibition 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 4v4, Unfair Mode (1v2, 1v3, 1v4), offline Season Mode
  • More Features: replay viewer, customizable controls, “mutator” game-variant options (ball type, ball speed, boost strength, max score, match length, etc.)

Also, Psyonix plans on keeping the DLC release for Rocket League current to keep it up to date with the PC and PS4 versions of the game. You can snag Rocket League for $19.99 now, plus there is a day-one DLC (the Back to the Future DeLorean) available for $1.99. Now, what are you waiting for? Get out there and Rock some Leagues.

Doug bashes his fists against the keyboard and eventually a piece of video is made, sometimes it is even funny. Some of his gaming accomplishments are: completing a living Pokedex on the Pokebank, 1000 pointing BCFX: Black College Football: The X-perience: the Doug Williams Edition, and only crying five times during the Kingdom Hearts series.
