More Content Coming To Battlefront This Spring

So far in 2016 Dice has added quite a bit of content to Star Wars Battlefront.  The first expansion for the Season Pass titled Outer Rim has been released bringing players new maps Hoth, Tatooine, Sullust, and Endor.  The expansion also brought players new characters Greedo and Nien Nunb along with new weapons, and Hutt Contracts as well.  Today Dice announced that the second expansion to the game is not far off.

Coming this June, season pass holders will be receiving the second expansion in the series, Bespin.  The expansion is set to take players in and around Cloud City with four new maps for all modes. You’ll see AT-ATs in Cloud City and also be able to take to the skies in Fighter Squadron, you’ll even get to spend time in a carbonite chamber.  Dice also announced they would be adding more blasters and Star Cards, a new game mode, and two new characters Lando Calrissian and bounty hunter Dengar. Also announced today, players can expect two characters in every one of the games expansions moving forward.

Dice also wanted to make it clear that they are listening to the community very closely and are using player feedback to improve the game as it moves forward. In addition to the expansions Dice has quite a few free community events coming up in the spring and summer months.  Players will be getting more double score weekends, community missions, and special login events to help players earn more experience, credits, and items.  Dice also hinted at more offline content as well with the promise of more information coming soon.  Finally, In celebration of Star Wars day on May the 4th there is a promise of some cool activities which will be announced very soon so make sure to check back for more information on those events as I am sure they will be good ones.  It sounds to me like Dice has plans for the future of Star Wars Battlefront and are working hard to give the community more of what they want after a release that left a lot of players wanting more content.
