Earlier this month someone with the Twitter handle Ekim sent out a series of tweets teasing July’s Games with Gold. In his tweets, he stated that The Banner Saga 2 would be one of the free games for Xbox One through the Games with Gold program. The Xbox Live Games With Gold For July 2016 are The Banner Saga 2, Tumblestone, Rainbow Six Vegas 2, and Tron Evolution.
Ekim is known as a Xbox Insider however his information isn’t always 100% correct. Although his information was not 100% correct, he was still partially correct naming two out of the four Xbox Live Games with Gold offer for July 2016. On Xbox One, Xbox Live Gold members can download The Banner Saga 2 ($19.99 ERP) for free throughout the month of July. Tumblestone ($19.99 ERP) will be available as a free download from July 16th to August 15th.
Starting on July 1st, Xbox 360 users can start downloading Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas 2 ($19.99 ERP); it will be free for Xbox Live Gold members until July 15th. Then on July 16th, Xbox Live Gold Members can download TRON: Evolution ($14.99 ERP) for free until July 31st.
In order to be eligible for the Games with Gold offer, you must be a Xbox Live member. The Xbox 360 games are backwards compatible on the Xbox One. After you download the titles in the Games with Gold program then they are yours to keep forever. The titles offered through Xbox Live Games With Gold For July 2016 seems rather mediocre for most gamers, but who can turn down free games?
