Top 5 Xbox One Games from the Ultimate Game Sale

Top 5 Xbox One Games from the Ultimate Game Sale

If you’re like me you look for some good games to check out and play, right? Well it’s that time again when Xbox throws some good deals our way. What does this mean for you? Obtaining Xbox One and Xbox 360 games for a major discount, but the amount depends on the game and your subscription level. I’m here to give a selection of five games from the list that you–our loyal readers–should plan on picking up and why. Here we go! Be warned this Xbox Ultimate Game Sale only lasts until July 11th, 2016.

While this piece will be on the longer side, this post of mine is to tell you some good games to pick up for some great prices. Please take note the prices below reflect the discount for Xbox Live GOLD members and don’t include any sales tax.

Let’s start with a game that always has me coming back for more. It’s the game Just Cause 3 created by Avalanche Studio and published by Square Enix. What is Just Cause 3 about? In this game you’ll explore a Mediterranean island paradise with complete vertical freedom, meaning you can skydive, base jump and free dive in an open world with almost zero limits. This means you’ll be able to glide through the air and swoop across mountains with your wingsuit. Another option is to use your Grapple and Parachute to scale buildings, hijack vehicles, move quickly or tether objects together for creative new ways to cause chaos. Don’t tell me those features don’t excite you!

Right now on the Xbox Live Marketplace you can pay only $24.00 (normally $59.99) for a digital version of the base game, but before you go ahead and click why not upgrade to the XL Edition? What is included in the XL Edition? It features all the DLC for the game and the base game for only $33.80 (normally $84.49)! Which sounds like a better deal? While you could buy the base game at a lower price, purchasing the DLC separately would cost more. We at Marooners’ Rock really enjoy this game.

As for my second game of choice would have to be Saints Row IV: Re-Elected & Gat out of Hell for the Xbox One. I mean, come on–how can you say no to playing as the one and only crew from Saints Row. I first got my taste of Saints Row back on the Xbox 360 during Saints Row: The Third and soon after Saints Row IV, which I reviewed on the Xbox 360 here. What is this double pack all about? Well for starters Saints Row IV picks up a little after the events of Saints Row: The Third, where you become the President. I’d like to give more information on the events, but I’d rather you find out on your own. Gat out of Hell takes place after the events of Saints Row IV, but even then you’ll simple have one HELL of a time playing.

Why should you pick up this game? Well the double pack on the website is normally $29.99, but GOLD members can pick it up for only $7.50. I mean heck, if I didn’t own the games already I’d be picking these up at this price!

What about my third game of choice? Continue reading since we’re so close to the end.
