New Story Trailer Released for Persona 5

With a release date set for April 2017, publisher Atlus USA has opened pre-orders for its upcoming release of the PlayStation 4 and 3 RPG, Persona 5, and this weekend they have launched a new story trailer to give gamers a glimpse at what they can look forward to.

The new trailer for Persona 5 is available on YouTube, and gives viewers a look at the game’s protagonist. After having his life ruined, he must start his life new, as a transfer student at Tokyo’s Shujin Academy. Our protagonist soon discovers that he possesses the ability to enter the hearts of people, and force them do confront their true selves, and along with his friends, forms the Phantom Thieves of Hearts, to help unmask the ills of society. Their actions soon get the attention of undesirables, putting a target on the group’s back.

Digital preorders are open now, via the PSN, and includes the “Protagonist Special Theme & Avatar Set,” which comes with a dynamic theme, and three avatars featuring the game’s protagonist, in addition to the “Izanagi & Izanagi Picaro Set” in-game DLC. The in-game DLC adds Persona 4’s Izanagi to your roster of Persona, and a unique Picaro version of Izanagi, dressed to match the style of the Phantom Thieves of Hearts.

Persona 5 is slated for release in North America and Europe on Apr. 4, 2017, for the PlayStation 3, and in two special PlayStation 4 versions, the SteelBook Launch Edition, and the “Take Your Heart” Premium Edition. To learn more about Persona 5, you can visit the game’s official site.
