Nintendo Switch to Support GameCube Virtual Console Games?

News continues to roll in for the Nintendo Switch. Like the Wii, Wii U, and 3DS there will be a virtual console service. What is going on with Nintendo? Who knows, but we can only hope this rumor ends up being true.

This time GameCube games will be included on the list starting with Super Mario Sunshine, Luigi’s Mansion, and Super Smash Bros. Melee. Animal Crossing is next on the list. Which could lead to inception levels of emulation with the fully playable versions of NES games within Animal Crossing. Though the whole list of supported systems is still to be revealed, we can expect it to only grow from the current offerings. The virtual Console service for Nintendo Switch is being engineered by Nintendo European Research and Development, or NERD, the brains behind the recently released NES Mini.

Nintendo Switch is currently slated for March 2017 release. Will Gamecube virtual console influence your decision to “Switch”, or are you still on the fence?
