Final Fantasy Celebrates 30 Years!

Final Fantasy Celebrates 30 Years!

Square Enix started the Final Fantasy 30 Year celebration today! Pretty incredible that the series began as a company’s last chance hail mary play and is now celebrating 30 years, and 15 main series entries and quite a few of spin-off titles. This celebration is going to be a year long, and what better way to kick things off with some updates of the franchise’s most anticipated projects going right now, the Final Fantasy VII Remake, Final Fantasy XV, and Final Fantasy XII The Zodiac Age. They also have launched the 30th Anniversary logo, website (www.finalfantasy30.com), and hashtag “#FF30th”. Let’s all get excited at Final Fantasy celebrates 30 years!

Final Fantasy VII

Unfortunately nothing in terms of new for probably the biggest project Square Enix has right now, but they did unveil this sweet piece of Key art.

Final Fantasy XII The Zodiac Age

Providing new information about the game’s release on July 11th, 2017, and going over the details of what went into remastering the 2006 game onto modern systems including remasters audio, a different job system, and “Trial mode”. A piece of key art was also revealed.

Final Fantasy XV DLC

Square Enix gave fans their first look at upcoming DLC for the latest entry into the series. “FINAL FANTASY XV Booster Pack (free version)” and “Booster Pack +” will be available on February 21. This content will include powerful items like the “Magitek Exosuit” that players can use to take an edge in battles. After that keep your eyes out for “Episode Gladiolus” available to purchase (or free for Premium Edition and Season Pass holders) on March 28th. This will offer a piece of the Final Fantasy XV story from Gladio’s perspective.

Final Fantasy Brave Exvius

The Final Fantasy mobile game that boasts a full-scale adventure, recently featured an event with celebrity Ariana Grande. Players will be able to obtain “Dangerous Ariana”, the celebrity inspired character until February 2nd by completing the “Dangerous Woman Tour” event.

Mobius Final Fantasy

Final Fantasy’s other mobile adventure is seeing a STEAM release on February 6th! To celebrate 10 million users worldwide and the 20th anniversary of Final Fantasy VII, the game will be featuring a Final Fantasy VII Remake collaboration event starting on February 7th. Better jump on it though, since it will be only for a limited time.

The Final Fantasy 30th anniversary website looks like it will be the hub for all things related to celebrating the series for the next year. Anything from today’s announcements get you excited? I personally am looking forward to Final Fantasy XII The Zodiac Age in July! For more details on that check out the article I wrote here. Let us know in the comments what you are going to do to as Final Fantasy celebrates 30 years!
