Rockstar made a few announcements today as to the status of GTA Online, some upcoming events, and some news regarding character transfers. First and foremost PS3 and Xbox 360 players as of March 6th, 2017 you will no longer be able to transfer character saves to Xbox One, PS4, and PC. If the transfer is not made by the 6th you will not be able to carry over your progress and be forced to start all over when making the change to current gen systems.
Now on to some of the good news that Rockstar announced today. December saw a record number of players and engagements in GTA Online, more than any month in the games history to be precise. The statistics from Rockstar show that 11 million new CEO Organizations were established, 13 million stunt races were played, 15 million matches of Juggernaut took place, 24 million new Motorcycle Clubs were formed, and 10 billion vehicle modifications were applied. These are pretty impressive statistics, considering that is just numbers from December and the game has been out for almost 3 and a half years.
The best news coming out of Rockstar today for the players would have to be that starting today and continuing through February 13th there will be double GTA$ and Double RP in Juggernaut, Vehicle Vendetta, and Lost Vs Damned. Players will also be seeing a few discounts including 50% off executive offices, 25% off Turreted Limo, Buzzard, and Cargobob, and Vehicle Warehouses. Looks like now is the time to transfer your characters and earn some extra cash and xp.
