Earlier this week, distributor Section23 Films unveiled its planned release slate for the month of May 2017, which includes new releases from publishers Maiden Japan and Sentai Filmworks, including two premium box sets for highly anticipated series.
The first half of May looks to be slow, as the only release for the first two weeks, will be the complete collection of Nurse Witch Komugi R from Sentai Filmworks, on both Blu-ray and DVD, on the 2nd. The busiest week of the month, will be on the 16th, as Sentai Filmworks releases Girls Und Panzer der Film in a Blu-ray/DVD combo pack, and the first season of Ajin on DVD, Blu-ray, and in a combo collector’s edition, and Maiden Japan releases the complete collection of Wandaba Style on DVD. Nurse Witch Komugi R will be in Japanese with English subtitles only, while Girls Und Panzer, Ajin, and Wandaba Style will be in English and Japanese, with English subtitles.
On the 23rd, Sentai Filmworks releases the complete collection of Momokuri on both DVD and Blu-ray. The final release for May, will be on the 30th, as Sentai releases Himouto! Umaru-chan on DVD, Blu-ray, and in a combo collector’s edition. Momokuri will be presented in Japanese with English subtitles, while Himouto! Umaru-chan will have English and Japanese audio options, and English subtitles.
The Ajin box set will include a booklet, art cards, a poster, and an Ajin manga, in addition to the first season of the anime. Himouto! Umaru-chan’s premium edition will include an audio CD, figure, buttons, a lenticular postcard, a lanyard, a magnet, and an Umaru keychain.
