With the announcement of a new Nintendo console, we were bound to get a new Mario game. While one can seem fatigued by how many Mario titles exist out there, the announcement of this new Super Mario game will undoubtedly have fans excited. We are now getting a whole new world to explore as Mario exits the Mushroom Kingdom and journeys to new “mysterious places” as the developers said it at the press conference. Here are some details about Super Mario Odyssey!
Based on the trailer, we got to see a lot of environments that looked familiar to those in the real world. We are not for sure as to what cities we will get to explore, but there seems to be a wide variety of environments to run around in. From busy cities to jungles, it seems that players will have their fair share of sandbox fun to sink their teeth into. It seems the nostalgia factor will kick in as the game looks reminiscent of Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Galaxy. Oh yeah, you also get to throw Mario’s hat. We are not sure why that excites us so much, but it does. Super Mario Odyssey is scheduled to release this holiday season. So we’re starting off the new year with Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and ending with Super Mario Odyssey. Well played Nintendo, well played.
