Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2 Heading Stateside Later this Year

Video game publisher Aksys Games, today announced that the upgraded version of its latest Guilty Gear game, Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2, would be making its way to the PlayStation 3 and 4, in North America, soon.

Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2 will include all previously released DLC from Guilty Gear Xrd -Revelator-, in addition to new fighters, moves, and story chapters. The two new characters, Baiken and Answer, bring the roster count to 25 fighters, as expanded story and arcade modes give players more insight into Jam, Kum, Raven, Dizzy, Answer and Baiken. Additionally, players can expect a complete re-balancing of each fighter.

“Soon” is the only information that Aksys has given as far as the North American release date goes, but we do know that the game will be available both physically and digitally, as a standalone release on the PlayStation 4. Owners of Guilty Gear Xrd -Revelator- on the PlayStation 4 or 3, will be able to purchase a digital upgrade for the game, making it Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2. As you might expect, the upgrade will cost less than the standalone version. Aksys does not handle the PC version of the game, or the EU region.
