Are you getting annoyed that Square Enix has yet to announce when Kingdom Hearts 3 will be released? Have you not played all the games between Kingdom Hearts 2 and 3 but are curious about the story? Well If you answered yes to wanting to either of these questions then you might be annoyed or excited to find out that Square Enix is relaunching the mobile RPG Kingdom Hearts Unchained X and renaming it Kingdom Hearts Union X [Cross].

With the launch of Kingdom Hearts Union X [Cross] players can take part of a new Union Cross multiplayer mode while gearing out their avatar in new and creative ways. The Union Cross game mode will allow players to create teams comprised of six party members or search for a group of five other players to fight hordes of Heartless enemies and bosses. Players will encounter both familiar and new faces as they learn more about the Kingdom Hearts story through unions.

Players can accept new quests and missions of increasing difficulty while learning more about the Kingdom Hearts universe. In order to help players communicate with one another, the game will feature emotes and text bubbles. If you feel like reliving the drama and rewatch cutscenes players can enter Theater Mode.

Kingdom Hearts Fans can pre-register for the update on the official website  (https://form3.square-enix.com/a.p/816/) to obtain exclusive smartphone wallpapers and in-game rewards. To celebrate and commemorate the relaunch and the one-year anniversary of the original app release, players will receive in-game presents by logging in after the update. PAX East goers have the opportunity to be the first in the world to get their hands on the exciting new chapter of the Kingdom Hearts story. Some lucky visitors have the chance to receive special button and a poster featuring the artwork of Tetsuya Nomura.

Kingdom Hearts Union X [Cross] looks like it will be a fun change of pace from everything you already know about Kingdom Hearts. After the announcement was made that the game would be relaunched, we decided to download the phone game to see what it was all about. Are you going to try it out before the update or will you wait?
