Seven Seas acquires Anti-Magic Academy: The 35th Test Platoon manga

Manga publisher Seven Seas Entertainment announced earlier this week, that it has acquired the military and magic series, Anti-Magic Academy: The 35th Test Platoon, for release in North America, as an omnibus edition later this year.

Based on the light novel series, written by Touki Yanagimi and illustrated by Kippu, the Anti-Magic Academy: The 35th Test Platoon manga, from Touki Yanagimi and Youhei Yasumura, takes place in a world where witches threaten to destroy the world, and an Anti-Magic Academy trains special soldiers as Inquisitors, in order to defend humanity. Not every troop is created equal however, and the 35th Test Platoon, and its sword-wielding leader Takeru Kusanagi, struggle to do anything right. The platoon is in for a rude awakening however, when Ouka Ohtori, an elite soldier, finds herself demoted due to excessive force, joining the ragtag bunch.

Seven Seas Entertainment will be releasing the entire Anti-Magic Academy: The 35th Test Platoon manga series, as a single omnibus collection ($19.99 US / $22.99 CAN), on Nov. 17, 2017. The series has also been adapted in to a 12-episode anime series, which can be viewed in North America via Crunchyroll.
