XSEED Unveils Double the News for The Legend of Heroes: Trails Series Fans

Video game publisher XSEED Games, today revealed plans for a PC release of Nihon Falcom’s The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel, as well as the long-awaited release date for The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky the 3rd.

Originally released for the PlayStation 3, Trails of Cold Steel took place on the same continent as Trails in the Sky, putting players in the role of elite military students in Erebonia. It is now available for the PlayStation 3 and Vita, and XSEED today announced that it will be released on Windows PC, in the summer, with over 5,000 new lines of voiceover dialogue, a 50% increase. The sequel, The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II, is also expected to see an eventual Windows PC release. To learn more about both games, you can visit the official site.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky the 3rd is the final chapter in the Trails in the Sky series, and takes place half a year after the events of the second game. As the world enjoys what appears to be peace, to keep the public safe, the Septian Church’s Gralsritter, seek out powerful artifacts that are being used by would-be villains. One such artifact hunter, is Father Kevin Graham, who finds himself assigned to retrieve an artifact buried beneath Grancel Cathedral, with the help of a new recruit, a rookie Gralsritter and childhood friend, Sister Ries Argent. What should have been a routine mission, turns out to be anything but, as the history of the Septian Church, and the pasts of the many familiar faces that took up arms for the sake of Libel, will be laid bare.

XSEED Games will be releasing The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky the 3rd for Windows PC, via Steam, GOG, and The Humble Store, on May 3, 2017.
