Destiny 2 Gameplay Promises a Cinematic Sequel

Trailer Points Towards More Story

Bungie’s first gameplay trailer at the Destiny 2 Reveal shows just how much they have been listening to the fans. Best part about sequels in video games is just how much feedback developers have to use and how they implement that into future titles.

One thing that impressed me the most was just how cinematic Destiny 2 is promising to be. Destiny‘s most common criticism was it’s lack of storytelling. I won’t lie, I learned more about the lore of the Destiny universe in this one hour press conference than I did in my entire 200 hours of the first game. Check out the first gameplay trailer below and come back later for some discussion on what Destiny 2 has to offer!

Destiny 2 is set to launch on September 8th on PS4, Xbox One, and most excitedly PC. Sure the playerbase is already pretty large on console, but with the addition of PC, we could see Destiny rise up to be a must play game for almost all players. With a new focus on lore in game instead of on a separate website, it looks like Bungie is once again set to smash expectations with their first sequel for Destiny. We can only hope that we’ll get another instant classic like Halo 2 was years ago.
