Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun Headed to Consoles

Kalypso Media has announced that they will be publishing Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun, a real-time tactics game from Daedalic Entertainment and Mimimi Productions, on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Originally released on Steam in 2016 to very positive reception, Shadow Tactics allows you to simultaneously control up to five characters in ancient Japan. Each of the five characters brings with them unique and valuable skills, such as Hayato and his Shuriken that can kill enemies from far away or Aiko who can disguise herself as a Geisha or Preiestess. Mastering when and how to use these characters will be crucial to surviving the over 25 hours of gameplay.

Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun will release on consoles on August 1st, 2017 in North America and July 28th, 2017 in Europe. It was also announced that there will also be a demo that will arrive alongside the full title that will let you get familiar with how the games work and play through the entire first map. The second map will also be playable, but it will only be a small glimpse.

This title has been compared to the Commandos and Desperados series, and as previously mentioned, has been positively received. Currently sitting at 85% on Metacritic, this title should be worth a look when it launches later this year.
