Team17 and Mothership Entertainment have announced that Aven Colony, their sci-fi city-building and management sim, will be launching on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on July 25th for $29.99. There will be physical (PS4 & Xbox One) and digital versions of the game, and if you pre-order Aven Colony you will receive “an additional sandbox map, Cerulean Vale, which allows players to explore its treacherous badlands and discover the remnants of an ancient seabed in this stunning new biome.”
Aven Colony will have a complete single-player campaign that tasks you with surviving the harsh environments of Aven Prime. You will have to survive freezing winters, lightning storms, ice storms, and toxic gas clouds, all while developing an alien colony. It’s up to you to protect your colony from these dangers, in addition to the “plague spores” that infiltrate your colony and infect your colonists with a deadly plague and much more.
Besides the campaign mode, Aven Colony allows you to take all these maps and play in “sandbox mode” that gives you the freedom to tailor each game to your liking and craft an experience to be exactly what you are looking for.
