Forever Classic Podcast – Episode 1

Risk of Rain 2, Io Interactive, Retron 1 HD, and More

Forever Classic Podcast Episode 1

It’s official, the Forever Classic Podcast has released our first true episode on this journey of video game discussion. This time, Zach Snyder and I continue our journey through some of the biggest stories in the gaming space at the time including Risk of Rain 2‘s announcement, as well as the IO Interactive separation from Square Enix. We also discussed Hyperkin’s latest clone console, the Retron 1 HD. Plus, we chat a bit about the resurgence of video game films and decompress the wealth of Destiny 2 news. Welcome to the Forever Classic Podcast – Episode 1!

Later in the show we discuss some of the biggest games releasing, such as Rime, Ultra Street Fighter 2, and Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia. We also included some excellent anime recommendations and spent quite a while discussing some of our favorite shows. We wrapped things up by talking about what we’re currently playing, as a good gaming podcast tends to do. As a side note, Persona 5 is awesome. Look forward to a full review later on.

While we have a ton of fun discussing gaming news, we want to hear from our listeners. If there is something we can try or a particular topic we should cover, let us know somewhere on the net or in the comments below. Also if there’s something we’re doing completely wrong, please tell us so we can work to fix it. There are hundreds of gaming podcasts out there and we’re trying to find our place in the ruckus.

Next time, we’ll be sharing our predictions and thoughts before E3 hits. We’re also kicking around some thoughts on a shorter episode dedicated entirely to Destiny, maybe even with a special guest. Once E3 passes, we’ll have tons of things to talk about in a post-E3 episode.

For now, we are only available via SoundCloud, but look forward to more platforms in the coming months.

Note: I do have to apologize for a few audio mishaps, we actually had my internet crash entirely about halfway through the recording. Zach has done an excellent job editing though, so its kinda hard to notice.

Most people bleed red. Alex bleeds pixels. Hailing from the deep mountains of WV, land of beautiful landscapes and internet scarceness, Alex can be found writing about games in every sense. Retro games are his life, spending more time with his GBA than his PS4. Drop by one of the social doodads for deep discussions about gaming!
