Layton’s Real World Puzzle Solving Launches

Level 5 Studios are teaming up with the makers of the original “Real Escape Game,” Scrap Entertainment Inc. are bringing to life Layton’s Mystery Journey: Real World Puzzle Solving, an unprecedented 10-country promotion that challenges Layton fan’s to solve puzzles all over the world.  The first puzzle was released yesterday and featuring PIKOTARO and in the style of PPAP.

The promotion is to celebrate the newest Layton game. Layton’s Mysterious Journey: Katrielle and The Millionaires Conspiracy, which is launching on Android and IOS on July 20th in the West.  The 3DS version will also launch in Japan on July 20th, while the western release will be in the Fall of 2017.

The puzzle is rather interesting and brain wracking. I’ve spent the last twenty minutes trying to figure out the answer, and nothing is crossing my Top Hat.  The Professor Layton games have sold rather well across the world.  This year also marks the tenth anniversary of Professor Layton and The Curious Village, the first Layton game for the Nintendo DS.  It’s great to see Level 5 embracing their fans and encouraging them to grow their mind by celebrating the one thing that brings Layton fans joy: Puzzles.

The newest game in the Layton series revolves around his daughter, Katrielle Layton, who must go off and solve smaller mysteries to reveal a larger interwoven plot.  The game was announced in 2016 as Lady Layton: The Millionaire Ariadone’s Conspiracy, while we have to wait a bit for the 3DS release, the mobile version surely won’t disappoint Layton fans.  If you can’t wait for the fun to begin on July 20th and need to solve more puzzles, you can go to https://layton.world/top.html.  New puzzles are added every day to keep your mind entertained until July 20th.

Layton’s Mystery Journey: Real World Puzzle Solving is one of the best promotions I’ve seen in years. And if you’re wondering if I’ve figured out the first puzzle, you’ll have to wait and see.
