NASCAR Heat 2 First Official Gameplay Trailer Released

NASCAR Heat 2, Monster Energy Series, XFINITY Racing Series, Camping World Truck Series

It’s not the green flag yet, but you could call this the qualifying laps: the first gameplay trailer for NASCAR Heat 2 has been released by 704Games! The trailer shows off the variety of tracks and cars that players can expect, while also calling out some of the major multiplayer features.

As previously announced, NASCAR Heat 2 will feature all three national racing series (Camping World Truck Series, Xfinity Series, and Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series). An enhanced career mode, 40-car online multiplayer, and 2-player local multiplayer should provide plenty of ways for players to get behind the virtual wheel.

Also announced today were preorder and retail bonuses. Players preording the game on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One will receive Kurt Busch’s winning Daytona 500 paint scheme, while boxed retail copies will also include a $50 off voucher on a ticket for any of the remaining races in the 2017 NASCAR-sanctioned event calendar and all 2018 NASCAR-sanctioned events at the eight tracks owned by Speedway Motorsports. These eight tracks are Atlanta Motor Speedway, Bristol Motor Speedway in Tennessee, Charlotte Motor Speedway, Kentucky Speedway, Las Vegas Motor Speedway, New Hampshire Motor Speedway, North Wilkesboro Speedway, Sonoma Raceway, and Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas.

Dirt tracks, road courses, and the Craftsman Truck series are going to make this game as difficult to pass as a three-wide straightaway at Talladega. While last year’s NASCAR Heat Evolution drew some criticism for issues with its graphics fidelity, damage models and physics, developer Monster Games states that they’ve addressed all of these issues with this year’s game. Whether the NASCAR Heat series is going to become a Madden style annual release remains to be seen, but for racing fans, it’s nice to see America’s premier racing series getting some much needed attention.
