Telltale Announces The Walking Dead The Final Season

For five years, Telltale’s The Walking Dead has impacted and captivated audiences around the world with a heart breaking narrative. Telltale’s The Walking Dead: Season One introduced players to Lee, a convicted felon heading to prison, and Clementine, a scared little girl whose family disappeared. As the two search for a way to escape, they make new allies along the way some who live and others who tragically pass away. After the events of the first game, Clementine becomes the main protagonist and must survive by any means possible. Although The Walking Dead: A New Frontier came to conclusion in late May, the next and final chapter of Telltale’s The Walking Dead entitled The Walking Dead The Final Season has been announced.

In celebration of San Diego Comic Con 2017, Telltale Games announced the next three Telltale games coming to consoles; the next three titles entitled The Wolf Among Us 2, Batman The Enemy Within, and The Walking Dead The Final Season are scheduled to be released between August 2017 to June 2018. During Telltale’s Summer 2017 Update, the development team at Telltale sat down to reflect on the journey of Telltale’s The Walking Dead protagonist Clementine. In discussing the character’s path all the way through 2017’s conclusion of The Walking Dead: A New Frontier, Telltale confirmed that this fourth and final season would feature Clementine as the main protagonist, allowing players to fully step back into the shoes of the fan favorite character. Will Clementine be able to find AJ and create the family that she desires?

“It’s going to be an amazing experience. Thank you all so much, from the bottom of my heart,” said Melissa Hutchison, the award-winning actress who has been the voice of ‘Clementine’ since 2012. “It’s been a lot of blood, sweat, and tears, and so much love has been behind this whole experience. Good luck, I’ll be right there with you.”

The Walking Dead The Final Season is scheduled to debut in 2018 for The Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC/Mac, iOS, and Android Devices. At the moment no further platforms have been announced. The Walking Dead The Final Season will more than likely feature the Crowd Play function so that players can create a unique experience.
