NBA Live 18 Gets Free Demo This Week, James Harden Named Cover Athlete

Electronic Arts today announced that a free demo for NBA Live 18 would be making its way to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this week, while also setting up players for when they play the full game in September.

The demo will launch for all players that have Xbox Live Gold and PlayStation Plus accounts, tomorrow, Aug. 11, 2017. In the demo, players will experience The Rise, the prologue section of The One game mode. The progress that gamers make in the demo will carry over to the full game and there will be specially-timed Live Events, limited-time activities with special rules, rewards and characters, that will only be available in The One. Rewards earned in these events will also be making their way to the full game, giving some players more reason to check back in regularly. Also included in the demo will be a Play Now experience, featuring the teams from this year’s NBA Finals, the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors.

NBA fans can also get a look at the newly unveiled NBA Live 18 cover athlete, former Oklahoma City Thunder 6th Man and current Houston Rockets star, James Harden. EA Sports will be releasing NBA Live 18 for the Xbox One (10% discount on a digital version on Xbox Live for EA Access members) and PlayStation 4, beginning Sept. 15, 2017.
