The second full trailer for Red Dead Redemption 2 is here, revealing “the story of outlaw Arthur Morgan and the Van Der Linde gang as they rob, fight, and steal their way across the vast and rugged heart of America in order to survive,” as Rockstar Games said today.
This new trailer confirms that Red Dead Redemption 2 is a prequel to the original Red Dead Redemption, making a brief reference to Dutch van der Linde, the gang ringleader from the original game. We could very well see John Marston and Bill Williamson make a return, as well.
Red Dead Redemption 2’s original release date was set for this fall, but Rockstar announced in May 2017 that the release would be pushed back to spring 2018. No official release date has been set, but the game is currently available for pre-order on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. You can view the debut trailer from October 2016 here.
