RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic Now Available on Steam

Origin8 Technologies Ltd. and Atari, Inc. have released RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic on Steam, giving players the chance to experience the historical franchise on a computer all over again.

Remastered by franchise creator Chris Sawyer, RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic combines the best features from two of the most successful and beloved RCT games in the series’ history: RollerCoaster Tycoon and RollerCoaster Tycoon 2. Players can still create amazing parks and manage all the usual aspects of a fun-filled time for their park patrons while also getting to play around with the Toolkit and the Wacky Worlds and Time Twister expansion packs.

The Toolkit includes a Park Scenario Editor, Ride Designer, and an import and export feature to share your saved parks, park scenarios, and ride designs with friends and try out their creations. The expansion packs will take you around the world and back and forth through time with iconic landmarks and various historical and fantasy-based time periods, as well as adding new park scenarios.

RCT revamped for the modern era is a perfect addition to any nostalgic gamer’s library. If you were a child of the 90s like I was, RollerCoaster Tycoon was one of your first introductions into management games alongside SimCity. RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic is available on PC and Mac via Steam as of today, as well as IOS, Android, and Kindle. You can visit the game’s website for more information and watch the trailer for the game below.
