Tools Up! A Party Game About Home Renovation Announced Today

Time to grab a few friends and unleash your inner Chip and Joanna. Or possibly your inner Tarek and Christina? Maybe Property Brothers is your thing? Whatever, or whomever is your favorite home renovation stars are, developer All in! Games is going to give you a chance to experience it with their new party game Tools Up!

Tools Up!  is planned with both single- and multi-player modes. Up to four players can paint walls, tear off wallpapers, and move furniture while racing against the clock. The inhabitants of a skycraper have chosen to leave their homes in the hands of your “expert” company. As the head of a set of “highly skilled” renovators, it’s your job to read blueprints, figure out what needs to change, and successfully execute a plan of action before time expires. A campaign mode allows for all sorts of single player challenges, while Party Mode will provide the option to choose a level and really try to master it. Friends can be helpful, or they might decide to steal the blueprints and abscond with the only multi-purpose bucket just when the living room is ready for a coat of paint!

Okay, kitchen’s probably a full gut, but we’re painting the living room a daring pink color. Maybe knock out a wall for that great open concept look everyone loves, and this place will be ready to flip!

The gameplay video looks reminiscent of the Overcooked, series, which is a family favorite in my house. If Tools Up! can deliver that level of yelling, screaming, and hilarious “cooperation” in a home renovation package, they’ll likely have a big winner on their hands.

KEY FEATURES

  • Goofy, lovable, diverse cast of characters.
  • Fulfil the blueprints… or don’t! Design the apartments of your dreams.
  • Throw things to people across the room. Heck, throw people across the room too!
  • Rich and varied props, environments, and weather.
  • All levels unlocked in Party Mode.

Tools Up! is currently slated for a “December 2019” release date. The game will be available on the Microsoft Xbox One console series, Nintendo Switch and Switch Lite, Sony PlayStation®4 consoles, and Windows via Steam. Gamers interested in keeping up with the latest news about the game should keep an eye on the official Tools Up! Twitter, and All in! Games’ Twitch channel.
