The Final Station

The world is over. But it's not quite over for you... at least, not yet. And now that you've got thousands of tonnes of locomotive at your disposal, ready to take you as far down the tracks as you have fuel to feed it, you've got the definite advantage over the infected hordes. This is The Final Station.

The Final Station Review

By train is one of the best ways to travel. Lot’s of leg room, you can walk around, there’s a viewing car so you can watch the landscapes go by, and there’s a dining car. Sure it takes longer but it is ideal in terms of comfort. So the zombie apocalypse breaks out, forget making it to the airport, and skip the minivan, make your way to The Final Station.

SGDQ 2016 Runner Spotlight: HALFCOORDINATED

Every Games Done Quick event has a few standout runs that get massive response from everyone watching. It became pretty clear early in the week that halfcoordinated’s Momodora: Reverie Under the Moonlight run was going to be one of those standout moments. Right off the bat his run was on the insane level difficulty, which dramatically increases the skill level required to even beat the game let al...[Read More]

Memorable Dads in Gaming

Father’s day really got me thinking about Dad in video games. A lot of games either have the dad completely absent with no mention or his role is simply one of existence. So I put together a list of memorable Video Game Dads and what made them so memorable. Covering everything from Nintendo to Zombie Hunting Cowboys, there are Dads of all sorts and sizes in video games. These eight Dads are ...[Read More]

In the first quarter of 2017, Hand of Fate will be available to Xbox One owners. So if you’ve been waiting for the digital card game to make its way to that format keep your eyes peeled then! Strategy card games appeal to me and this is definitely a good contender coming to Xbox One.

Daddy Gamer Episode 6 – LA Noire

This was probably the most fun I’ve had making an episode yet! Going in with the intention of having a different look and feel to the skit segments was a really neat experience and I hope it’s not the last time I shoot in this style! The idea came to me when we actually did loose a set of keys for quite awhile. I had recently started playing LA Noire again and asking Lil’ Gamer w...[Read More]

Return to PopoloCrois: Story of Seasons Fairytale Review

Back in High School during a summer break I started playing one of the Harvest Moon games on Gamecube. It was fun, charming, and casual. I was enjoying playing something so relaxing, until I got to a point where it was so incredibly repetitive and no longer held my interest. It was at this point that I realized, overall I didn’t really enjoy sim games in general. So even though I did really enjoy ...[Read More]

JRPGs Localisations Cancelled by Developers

In the wake of a number of recent US localisations of JRPGs requiring Japanese developers to change content specifically related to sexual themes to better fit an American audience, a number of developers have cancelled their plans to release their games in the US. This decision seems to be more of a concern of the mindset of the workforce than financial or keeping true to original content. Earlie...[Read More]
