Mario Party: Star Rush Review

Come on Nintendo, you’re killing me. I have been a fan of the Mario Party game series since its debut back in the late 90’s. I, in addition to many others, fell in love with the series due to its unique charm and refreshing digital take on the board game and party game genre. It’s no secret that Nintendo has struggled to maintain the Mario Party franchise’s reputation over the years and has been t...[Read More]

Creating with Limitations – An Interview with Ty Anderson of Links Awakening 64

A few weeks back, I was sitting at home doing what I do best at the hands of my Playstation 4, when all of a sudden I get a message from my buddy Erik. Now, to preface this, Erik is the biggest Legend of Zelda fan I know, introducing me to the franchise as a tot when he brought over his copy of Link to the Past, complete with a big strategy guide filled with hints, secrets, and lore. It was a grea...[Read More]

Pirate Pop Plus Review

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery – or so I’ve heard. That might explain why 13AM Games and Dadako’s latest effort, Pirate Pop Plus, is a variation of Capcom’s classic Buster Bros., which recently came back to life as DotEmu’s Pang Adventures, but with a high-definition twist.

Sonic Boom: Fire and Ice Review

Over the past few years, Sonic the Hedgehog hasn’t had the greatest streak in video games. Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric was quite simply one of the worst games in the character’s history, and other games, like Sonic: Lost World, haven’t been able to effectively recapture the magic that he’s been known for in games like Sonic Generations and Sonic & All Stars Racing Transfo...[Read More]

Luigi Causes Chaos and Creates New 2DS

There are two types of people in this world. The first likes their Nintendo handhelds to have a shell and 3D capabilities. The other likes their handheld to look like a toy, but be significantly cheaper. Well thanks to a certain green hatted mustachioed brother, the latter, the Nintendo 2DS,  is now a little bit more colorful.

Yo-Kai Watch 2: Bony Spirits/Fleshy Souls Review

Confession time: I wasn’t the greatest of fans of the original Yo-Kai Watch when it debuted a while ago. That’s not to say I hated the game by any means, but I couldn’t quite get into the vibe that it was offering. Regardless, a lot of people certainly did, and the next thing you know, Nintendo had an international cash cow on its hands.
