After a good half hour demo presented to us at E3 this week, Vampyr looks to ad...[Read More]

Vikings – Wolves of Midgard Review

I have always had an affinity for dungeon crawlers, I used to stay up into the late hours playing Diablo on my grandma’s computer and ever since then I was hooked. Upon hearing about Vikings – Wolves of Midgard, a dungeon crawler featuring Vikings I found my interest was high. Not to mention just a little bit of pride, being from Minnesota and all. Some of my favorite games of all time inclu...[Read More]

Fate/Extella: The Umbral Star Review

Before we get into this review, I’ll confess that I have never gotten into the Fate anime or manga. So I went into this game having no pre-existing knowledge of the lore or story. Luckily, I was able to pick up on the basic premise of this ongoing series from the start, as the game did a pretty good job of explaining what exactly was going on in this world. I will be honest and say it is int...[Read More]

Review: Bastion (XBLA)

Bastion is the spiritual successor to ToeJam & Earl. Now, it’s never been advertised as such, and to my knowledge nobody else has made this connection (Google confirms this, which means you read it here first), but it is a statement that I am going to stand by and support with arguments. ARGUMENTS, I SAY! Bastion, developed by Supergiant Games and published by WB Games, is the first XBLA...[Read More]

Certain Affinity’s Crimson Alliance Causes Anticipation

When did I first hear about Certain Affinity’s upcoming XBLA action-RPG Crimson Alliance? Honestly, it was when Summer of Arcade announced it as the free gift for anyone who purchased all five Summer of Arcade titles (one of which happens to be a Kinect-only title, which is causing a bit of a ruckus in the sans-Kinect demographic). Digging a little deeper, I found a game that I’m reall...[Read More]

E3 2011: Heroes of Ruin

It isn’t all first-party titles on the Nintendo 3DS’ horizon, some third-party companies are also getting in on the action, companies such as Square Enix and their venture on the 3DS: Heroes of Ruin. The seemingly Action-RPG title does not have a concrete launch date or a set price, but there was a good amount of the features released at E3 by Square Enix.
