Blogathon

We’re Doing Blogathon Again!

For those of you who were around last year, in July Chris and I participated in this fabulous, and draining, thing called a Blogathon. A Blogathon is where, for 24 hours straight, we put up a new post every 30 minutes – and we make no profit from it. Doing the Blogathon was crazy, hectic, semi-stressful (mostly due to us having a lot to do on that day), but it was for charity, and that made ...[Read More]

Bed Time!

OMG! It’s 6 AM. It’s time for bed! Thank you so much for sharing this Blogathon experience with us. Thank you to all of our Sponsors. To all of you who couldn’t be a sponsor, we can still accept sponsors and donations up until this Friday around midnight so please keep spreading the word about everything we’ve done today and our charity. Harry Potter and Zelda winners will ...[Read More]

5:30

What is this? Can it be….. 5:30 in the morning? Oh sweet merciful! Sorry that our recent posts have lacked images, but I honestly can’t be bothered to keep everything going and do all of that on top of it. I will go through the blog tomorrow (or shall I say later on today) and add in images that would be appropriate and fitting for each post. Again, sorry that things are becoming so ha...[Read More]

Anxiety Kicking In

I’ve never blogged about this before, but I actually suffer from anxiety. Unfortunately the anxiety also causes panic attacks, and I do have a bit of agoraphobia. I’ve had it since February 2001 and went from November 2001 until June of 2007 without any panic attacks, and without the use of meds or seeing a therapist. Now my recent claim to fame is that I have gone from June 2007 until...[Read More]

Wedding Presents

We decided to tear open a few of our wedding presents and see what we got. First up, from one of my mom’s cousins, we got a nice crystal fruit bowl. From my aunt, we got a very nice tea set, including cups, saucers, and more. From another of my mom’s cousins, we got a nice crystal platter. Yet another of my mom’s cousins got us a wonderful crock pot (finally, something practical!...[Read More]

Lindsey, J-Pop Suuuupa Star!

I know this might sound odd, but I really like Japanese music. I do like the traditional music, but I am talking about silly J-Pop. What tickles me to no end is that in Japan you can make millions of dollars and not dance or even have a good voice. Hello friends, I am going to get a passport, fly to Japan, and be a J-Pop Star. I have an alright voice and my dance moves can get me by. Shit… i...[Read More]

Party Aftermath

After the wedding party was over, the work of cleaning began.  Mom and Lindsey had already run at least two loads through the dishwasher throughout the night, and this is part of what was left over… I’ll be heading back to help sometime later in the afternoon. Agh. -Because I said so

Finally Home!

So right now… it is… *looks at clock in lower right corner of monitor* 3:01. We finally got home. The car with the gifts has been unloaded, I have used the restroom, got out of my uncomfortable dress, and am sitting in the chair at my desk – with the bed directly behind me. The bed beckons me. It says “Lindsey, come lay in me. I am so comfy. You love me so much, and I love ...[Read More]

Exhaustion is setting in

I should have gone to bed earlier on Friday night.  Having only had four hours of sleep, it’s becoming slightly difficult to keep pace on the Blogathon! Each minute that passes, the number of passable ideas for blog posts dwindles in my mind.  I may also stop making sense when I speak as a side effect of the not having much sleep. -Because I said so

Star Trek

I had a conversation earlier this evening with one of my mom’s cousins, who was born and raised in Iran.  We were sitting in my mom’s office, working on a post, when he came in and sat down to chat with us. Mom’s office used to be my bedroom, and some of my posessions still adorn its walls, such as my original cast Star Trek sketch.  Looking at the sketch, he brought up that some...[Read More]

Our Friend Farshad

I have a friend named Farshad.  Farshad is a very interesting individual, to say the least.  He’s a great guy, no doubt, but he has a personality that is hard to forget, and easy to get a laugh from. He has a lot of sayings that were slightly abrasive, such as how almost everything was “badass” (say it with EMPHASIS).  Everything takes a dump on everything else, and everything is...[Read More]

This guy is a douche

I’m taking over the blogging duties for a little while, and the first thing I want to jump back in with is a hilarious, and at times infuriating.  Some of the pranks are harmless and funny, while others could cause injury or loss. Overall, I guess I’d say it’s pretty funny.  However, it is almost 1:30, so perhaps my sleep addled brain is partly to blame. youtube::bvOSx7vBrCk:: -B...[Read More]
